Why on earth would anyone want a 2017 version with tons of bugs and security issues?Is possible obtain RouterOS 6.41rc20 from somewhere please?
Yes, and because it is more complete and easier to read/follow than the new one.Is the old wiki good for you because it contains information specific to the ROS6?"old" wiki is still very useful
I confirm, both issues have been resolved in rc2.*) chr - fixed management access (introduced in v7.15rc1);
*) winbox - fixed missing information for CHR/x86 (introduced in v7.15rc1);
Same here on a specific CHR installation.using this RC in GNS3 you can't login via winbox it just simply saying logging even ssh connection it's not working :(, never seen this before2.png
edit: webfig works

Yes, but only log the actual change, not every single argument that /interface/set takes and the user didn't touch.I actually think that logging of changes is great! Especially when you have an external log server, you can check when something was changed and by whom.
Wow! Finally!!! It only took 8+ years!!!*) traffic-flow - use 64bit counters for v9 and IPFIX flows;
/routing/bgp/advertisements/print
Such as?maybe with containers does not make much sense to invest time and resources in The Dude when you can deploy a container with a much more capable monitoring solution
++I miss the ability to do a "show run" and see everything to do with a port in one paragraph section between the ! and the !
https://download.mikrotik.com/routeros/ ... a3-arm.npkDowngrading to 7.12beta3 would also have worked but you can't download that release anymore.
Try with a clean winbox session. It shows up here.IP Cloud is missing from Winbox (3.39) on my OVA(x86) (7.11Rc1) Router. It show up on terminal, and in Winbox on other routers lik 750Gr3. See picutre:

+1If any GUI improvements to winbox...
1/ BIG THANKS FOR KEEPING the old=archaic=great=reliable=clean=GOLDEN_STYLE of GUI without any "modern improvements"
2/ ...to ...
100/ repeat of the (1/) ... no joking. I am just that thankful ...
BGP stats over SNMP was never available on MikroTik.and to my understanding, that also existed in previous Mikrotik software versions.
Well... this is MikroTik, so version naming conventions do not really apply.This is an RC, no new feature are added in RC. Its just releases to make sure its stable enough to become stable version.
More like slow year...(its a slow weekend, just entertaining myself)
++Please add:
- "Old style" routing filters add (like v6), not only syntax
- BFD (for OSPF and BGP)
- MPLS Fast-Path
- BGP session show number of prefix
Thanks MK.
Same here. Sadly...My main concern is that if this is going to be the way forward I'm honestly either going to stay on 6.x for several more years and hope that the devs remove head from ground and make it usable or just find a new vendor.
Compared to what exactly?As I said Mikrotik is the worst monitoring router OS..
+1+1 for 'try-ethernet-once-then-nand' stay after reboot, be a new default action, not one-time action
I don't see such command available./routing/bgp/cache/print and BGP cache GUI did not show prefix counts
thx
Thank you so much for fixing this! I can also, finally use new WinBox versions again! :)*) fixed glitches while resizing column widths or reordering table entries;
Doesn't matter. Prior to manually writing advertisements (which I messed up, admittedly) I hit tab. As you can see there is no such command available.@chaos, you've misspelled advertisements as advertisments everywhere... copy-paste can be a dangerous weapon.
Ok. Will that be added in the next rc?@chaos, it appears that the advertisement menu currently is not available for regular users because it is not completely finished.
> /routing/bgp/advertisements
bad command name advertisements (line 1 column 14)
https://mikrotik.com/download/changelogsI don't think any of "stable" let alone "long-term" releases ever had any CLI-only item.
Win 7, Win10, KDE Neon (Wine)Are you all using WinBox under Wine too? Mention the OS for WinBox bugs please.
Open standards adoption by big companies are not quite the same with discontinued services.This is funny. I suggest checking this page and seeing that often it is the exact opposite: https://killedbygoogle.com/
Yes, that works. I've done it many times. It's not 100% stable on high latency / jittery links, but it's better than nothing in case of an emergency.It should be possible with a remote-netinstall over a EoIP/VPLS tunnel, with a Linux/Windows host on the other side?
Wait until you get a SYN Flood DDoS and watch your MikroTik (doesn't matter which model or how much bandwidth you have) become totally unresponsive.R1CH, there is no crash here my friend so no worries, What you are saying is already well known and not the issue here but thanks anyways! ;)
Of course! We wouldn't want to be able to do what we need with our network. That would be outrageous!ABSOLUTELY no need for NAT under ipv6 ......
https://www.welivesecurity.com/2020/08/ ... sdropping/Can we have more information on CVE-2020-3702 and what it is.
More should I patch now or later type of question.
I don't think he is the one stuck in the past, rather the "IT companies" (more like Cisco resellers), which prefer to charge 10.000€ for a Cisco that does 1/10 of what a MikroTIk will do at 1/10 the price.Don't get stuck in the past
You can tell that to Cisco. With ALL their wizards for noobs. Right? ;)It's a good thing you aren't in sales.
Gave it a try on a hEX (RB750Gr3) and it worked out of the box!!) added WireGuard support;
The argument against this, is that it will produce anecdotal time and money savings.The argument against this is similar to the argument that the gui isn't needed at all because there's a command line.
'Don\'t require permissions'
/dude export-db dude.db
Correctthat way I will have 2 cores "dedicated" by CHR and I will not have problems with processor overload
it is? Am I right?
Note: RouterOS v6 does not support any USB Wi-Fi adapter
Probably.Strange that other people deny that they have a problem, maybe they don't understand what issue I mean?
I confirm the problem on Windows 7 64, using 64bit winbox.The problem with windows that have dynamic updates remains the same, I went back to 3.21 after 10 seconds of test...
++Colored rules could be useful. It would allow users to make it look like circus, but it would be everyone's choice. When used responsibly, it could sometimes help.
Can you give more information about this?*) wireless - fixed Nstreme wireless protocol performance decrease;
Yeap! Added to foes... can't stand 100 posts per day blaming incompetence as bugs.As I wrote ... waste of my time.@mkx, you seem not to understand the problem.
