Why there are no external MikroTIK 5G routers on sale?

5G as in "WiFi 5GHz band" or as in "5G the mobile technology"? If the former, then there are a few models. If the later, then I guess we'll have to wait a bit longer, 5G is still not very mature technology and suitable (to MT) modem modules may not have price tag as low as MT's market expects.

There are some Quectel M.2 5G modems (RM500U-EA) that cost less than 110 Euro.. This one is cheaper that the module that is in Chateau 5G.
From the specification point of view it looks like that this modem can fit into LHG LTE18 device as a replacement of the Quectel EQ-18EA, but not sure if this will work. Some Quectel RM500 series 5G M.2 modems are already on Mikrotik compatible peripheral list. Maybe someone already tested the possibility to replace LTE18 modem with 5G on LHG.
As the compatible peripheral list contains some M.2 modems (LTE and 5G) im wondering which routerboard can be used with it.

Best regards
Greg

I would also be interested in such a device for the company where I work.
Something like the SXT LTE6 or the ATL LTE18 but then for 5G.
I guess until such a thing is available we need to go for like a Chateau 5G model or something from another vendor.
(it is not really needed to put it outdoor, but it has to be put in another room than the server room to have best coverage)
