Re: Sonos across VLANs?

So a total solution for me (Sonos S1 - the old version) is: My system is S2, and I found the following rules along with the IGMP proxy is sufficient: Allow UDP ports 1900,32000-49999 from all Sonos Playback Devices to Controllers Allow TCP ports 3 5 00,32000-65535 from all Sonos Playback Devices to...

Re: [Router OS 7.8] DHCP Matcher

I have the same issue on 7.9.1, where I cannot get the matcher to work with a vendor class string. To be honest, the RouterOS DHCP server is a bit of a hot mess - the Matcher only allows you to assign DHCP options, but not changing the next-server or boot-filename options which is what I really need...

Re: v7.1rc6 [development] is released!

Yes that works! Indeed a signed/unsigned bug. Let's hope it will be fixed soon because we use this range all over the (closed) network. I have a support case open from way back in August requesting 7.1beta7 to test the new filters, where I found this and reported it. Māris tells me that this will b...

Re: v7.1rc6 [development] is released!

It should match any path that ends in 4220406100 (I also tried \$ instead of +) like: 4220404000,4220407200,4220403600,4220406000,4220406100 4220406100 These are shown as "filtered" after applying the above filter, also when using this: "if (dst == 0.0.0.0/0 and bgp-as-path 422040610...

Re: v7.1rc6 [development] is released!

Edit: the matches of bgp-as-path still do not work, no matter if a 12345$ or 12345+ match is used. It won't match. Test case used: rule="if (bgp-as-path 4220406100+ and dst == 0.0.0.0/0) { accept; }" Please provide full AS path that this rule supposedly should match. I have a similar issu...

Re: v7.1rc4 [development] is released!

The closest I got is this: /routing filter rule add chain= MY_NETWORKS rule="if(bgp-as-path ^\$ ) {accept}" add chain= MY_NETWORKS rule="if(bgp-as-path 1234+\$ ) {accept}" add chain= MY_NETWORKS rule="if(bgp-as-path 5678+\$ ) {accept}" add chain= MY_NETWORKS rule="...

Re: v7.1rc4 [development] is released!

I have had no luck getting GPS to work in an LtAP with v7 - however, I'm not 100% sure I ever tried it on v6. Has anyone else here had luck with GPS?

And bgp-as-path regexp matching in bgp filters still doesn't work. (ticket open with support)

Re: Wireguard in a "hub-and-spoke" topology

WireGuard is not for HUB&Spoke. Its seems it is only P2P, and if Spokes has random global addresses, you might add billions of peers on the HUB. WireGuard is for whom has two dedicated fix global IP addresses on the two end, and Layer3 tunneling is enough. Then you gets an encrypted and fast IP...

Re: mDNS repeater feature

Yes, the question is, why separate the IoT, if you don't really need to separate ? The biggest reason I can think of, is that you might have ethernet connected IoT devices in publicly accessible locations - you don't want your trusted network to be on the end of that cable. (CCTV is more likely tha...

Re: v7.1rc1 [development] is released!

what is the syntax to use BGP AS-PATH in the ROSv7 filter ?
Which winbox version is that? Routing -> Filters gives me a text representation of filters, and editing one is a freeform text box, not winbox-style editing

Re: v7.1beta6 [development] is released!

Is there a special upgrade procedure for the LTE modem after upgrading to v7.1beta6? It seems on the factory shipped firmware (6.45.9) and testing firmware (6.49beta54), LTE works fine as configured out of the box. However, I am upgrading to development firmware (7.1beta6) and this seems to break L...

Re: v7.1beta6 [development] is released!

the new filter rule syntax in 7.1beta7 is much much better, but does need to have tab/? completion implemented. the documentation at https://help.mikrotik.com/docs/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=74678285 is fairly complete, and not hard to follow. The resulting syntax from /routing/filter/rule/print i...
