One book I can recommend - though its about basic security - is the only book I read about ROS: "MikroTik Security Guide" by Tyler Hart (ISBN: 978-1549893407). IMHO the best source to read about specific topics: https://help.mikrotik.com/docs/

ROS does no HPKP as far as I know. It's something a client should do. As for any connections made by ROS itself: ROS does not ship with certificate bundles. You need to import the ones you trust anyways. So it does not get more secure.

Re: Chateau LTE18 ax: 2.4GHz Wifi Issue [SOLVED]

As far as I know, a wireless interface is only marked as `running`, when a client is connected. Unless, no client is connected, no running flag is displayed.
This is true. It needs at least one connected/active client to get the "R" flag.

I wonder why ROS gives us the ability to profile CPU usage - but no tools to just see the RAM usage in a similar way. This makes no sense as they could "anonymize" processes similarly as they do in CPU-profiling. If such a RAM profile feature would exist, we as the users could at least get...

Mikrotik devices are sold by distributors. So basically you can write down your requirements and maybe even draw your network topology and send this to the distributor where you like to buy your device. I am sure - despite not having done this myself - they will service you and give recommendations ...

Legacy wireless does not provide any of the standards that improve roaming. It is so dumb, that clients rather stick to the connected AP until the connection drops because of signal loss instead of roaming below eg. -80. The best you can do is create some access list rules to block clients in certai...

I agree. I don't even need to complain on 7.13. Like a charm when 600kb free space. But it is about the addition of new stuff in 7.14+ that consumes all the flash storage. Mikrotik could have not made a "wifi-qcom-ac" driver — which likely avoid all these discussions — and just suggested f...

You can netinstall 7.14.2 your device with "keep configuration". Should give you plenty of 200kb free space again. 😂😂😂😂

Do yourself a favor and downgrade to 7.13.5 when already netinstalling. Last stable version with reasonable free space (around 600kb) for a Chateau LTE12.
