Re: Please remove SSL requirement for REST Api

But I just think it be better if "rest" was it own thing under /ip/services (e.g. perhaps allowing different port, cert or no cert..) Think so too. That is mostly the main point of my post: Give the user more options. Nobody is stoping me from enabling webfig WAN access and set "admi...

Re: Please remove SSL requirement for REST Api

i am totally capabale of locking of access by myself. said every hacked user ever :D P.S.: I will look into it, although usually downgrading security for sake of "less hassle" is not a good idea I get your point, sure. However, whole of RouterOS's excellence is (in my eyes) the ability to...

Please remove SSL requirement for REST Api

I am working on a client side website tha displays active firewall connections on a worldmap. To keep it as simple as possible, i am using plain JS and the REST Api. This is intended for LAN Use only, i don't understand why i am forced to hassle with SSL. Self Signed Root_CAs etc. are not a problem,...

Re: RB5009 not working with sfp?

My RB5009UPr (should be identical in terms of SFP+ Port) is working fine wit a regular 10Gtek SFP RJ45 Module. However, as jookraw suggested, Auto negotiation did not work, had to set it to 1Gb/s manually.

Get the Rb5009, you will not be able to max out that beast, let it power a cheap Wifi6 AP like TP EAP610, Bob's your uncle!

Re: Could I power hAP ac2 from powerbank?

@drasir what's the capacity of that powerbank and how long can you run that ac3 on it ? Normal use of the device with some clients, I assume ? Just hooked it up to check for myself.. It's a 10000mAh one from Aukey. hap ac3 is replaced by rb5009UPr for me, so it is not on active duty. (And is bootlo...

Re: Could I power hAP ac2 from powerbank?

Proof of concept, with a hap ac3:
hapac3_powerbank.jpg
If you are willing to sacrifice eth1 for PoE, this would do the job:
https://mikrotik.com/product/mqs

Power the mqs via powerbank, power the hap ac2 from mqs.

RB5009UPr Eth1 LED

Hey there, the LED on Port 1 of RB5009UPr is "blinking differently" to all other eth LEDs. With traffic present it a a steady On-Off Cycle.. All other ports do blink more in quick succession.. like Paket-Bursts. Behaviour is like switching von "interface activity" to "interf...

Let me understand, "missing port" on export or inside winbox / print command? Try paste this on terminal, and check if in export the port appear again: /interface ethernet reset-mac-address [ find default-name=ether7 ] /interface ethernet set [ find default-name=ether7 ] name=ether7-test ...

That is embarrising.. All of those netmasks should be /24's.
However, this wouldn't explain the missing port would it?

Missing ether7 / no DHCP active on Port [SOLVED]

So i noticed some strange behaviour on my RB4011, connected devices on port ether7 never got an DHCP Lease if the port is configured on my LAN-Bridge. - thought the cable was defective - thought the port was defective If i assign another bridge (i.e. LAB) that has another DHCP network on it, it does...

Re: L2TP/IPSec VPN - <random ip> failed to get valid proposal. [SOLVED]

There are some "organisations" that do attempt ipsec connections.. Netscout, Shadow Server etc. Your IP tried testing my router as well, i just add all connection attempts to a firewall drop rule via an address-list.. Those are mine so far: 216.218.0.0/16 46.88.240.0/24 74.82.47.0/24 65.49...

I've upgraded my RB4011iGS+ to 7.1 and hoped to get hw offload for the bridge I'm using. So far no problems with the upgrade but looking at the bridge ports all of them are marked with "Hardware Offload": "yes" and "Hw. Offload": "no". Are there any precondit...

I repartitioned my RB4011 under 6.49, copied to both partitions and upgraded one to 7.1rc5, now rc6. That all worked fine. So I am not sure if repartition works on v7 but running from a partition certainly does. Ah, good to know! Actually did Just that, downgrade to 6.48.1, rewrite Firmware, partio...

Anybody had any chance repartioning from 1 to 2 partions on rc6? Hey there, totally new to the Forum, i am very pleased with my RB4011, but since it ist my main Internet Gateway it does not suit very well for experimentation. I am dreaming of a very simple device. 2 Gbit Ports, POE in / Out, GHz class quadcore arm, 256Gb RAM, 512 NAND, full Metal cast housing. Es...
