Thank you for this new release @Mikrotik.
We have been running version 7.8rc3 on some of our routers which has been quite stable.
Are there any differences between 7.8rc3 and 7.8stable?
According to Mikrotik specs the CCR2116 has the same CPU as the CCR2216. As I understand it the CCR2216 have a very powerful switch chip that makes the difference between the two routers (except for the physical interface differences of course) Is there anyone that has compared the performance diffe...
Mikrotik support just came back to me now. They confirmed the following: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The connection tracking max-entries are indeed dynamic and are increased based on the RAM size, but it's capped at max: 1048576 in the ...
The router reached max-entries again this afternoon, and this time I tried to Make a Supout.rif. Unfortunately the Supout.rif just gets stuck at 2% does not complete. I then proceeded to reboot the router and now it does not come back at all, I suspect the Supout.rif that was in progress is keep the...
rpingar - Yes. these changes should allow routing processes to consume more than 2 GB of RAM this is not going to fix the issue on my ticket. Above a certain routes/peeer we still get unstable (hold time expire) peers, when reestabilsihed it is unable to load more then 7-9k messages from a peer the...
CCR1072 has now been upgraded to 6.49.7 I have checked now, and still see the same issue. The max-entries value is not adapted, it stays on 1048576 Once the total-entries reach this value the router start to drop packets and the internet performance is degrading. Do I need to change a setting somew...
CCR1072 has now been upgraded to 6.49.7 I have checked now, and still see the same issue. I have tried to stay on the long-term release as far as possible, but it seems we have no choice now but to upgrade to the latest stable release of RouterOS 6.
We have a CCR1072 running on the latest version 6.48.6 longterm release. This router function as a core router for our network and does both routing and natting. It maybe that we experience some slow DoS attacks as sometimes the connection tracking total-entries goes past 1000 000 entries. During no...
When establishing BGP Session we get the following error message: Write to bgp failed (32) { #buf=1 max=64 sk=Socket{ 5 a } } We have an existing BGP session to another peer which is working just fine, we are receiving around 138 000 routes on this session. We are now trying to establish a second BG...
@miasharmse84 I had the same issue with 7.5, corrected since 7.6 beta8.... We upgrade the CCR2116 to 7.6 this morning but our second BGP peer is still not coming up. When enabling the peer it starts to load some routes and then suddenly stops with the same error message as version 7.5 in the log: W...
Thx @rextended @armandfumal We are planning an upgrade from 7.5 to 7.6 later this week on our BGP router, CCR2116. We are currently receiving around 130 000 routes from one eBGP peer, however when trying to add a second eBGP peer which would send us an estimated additional 160 000 routes we see the ...
Thanks for the reply. Can you comment on the stability?
- How long does it take to build the routing table if the router reboots or if the eBGP peer is disconnected?
- Do you have any concerns or is running stable?
- Would you recommend for ISP production environment?
Thx @rextended.
I would be interested to know if anyone is running 7.6 in production with full internet routing table or at least receiving more than 500k routes from peers.
CCR2116-12G-4S+ now on production from netinstalled 7.6beta7 on "test", previously updated via drag&drop npk from 7.6beta7 to 7.6beta8 on "test", previously updated via drag&drop npk from 7.6beta8 to 7.6rc1 on "pre-production", updated again via drag&drop n...
Anybody tried to upgrade a production router from RouterOS 7.5. 7.6?
We have a simple BGP config where the router does nothing else but BGP peering / traffic forwarding. Currently running on 7.5.
We are receiving a default route from one peer plus about 130k routes from a second peer.
Perhaps good idea to start by confirm that the OSPF network is stable, run a continuous ping on the OSPF network and see if ping drops when the VPLS tunnels are flapping.
