Dude Error - Windows Clients v 6.45.8 to v6.47.1

dude.exe - Application Error : The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000005).

This is installed on a HP ZBook, an i7 with 32Gbs ram, 1TB SSD - good fast machine. It runs Windows 10 Pro v2004 64Bit. All current with Bios and Drivers as per HP Support.

This error started about a month ago - I since have uninstalled, reinstalled, changed Dude versions, cleaned files, cleaned registry, tossed it in the air (no - just kidding), etc.

This ZBook runs lots of other software and apps with out issue. We are not having problems with the Dude on either of the other two identical HP ZBooks.

No diagnostics have shown any hardware errors. I have run multiple diagnostic tools on the ram, hard drive, video, etc.

I have physically cleaned the notebook, and opened it up and reseated all the hardware I could.

I have not found another program to give me an error.

This is one of the computers I use daily, and I am stumped, now it's time to ask the world...

I would appreciate knowing if anyone has had this issue with the Dude, and how they resolved it.

I had to run the "Windows Security" application and select:

App & browser control

Exploit protection settings

Program Settings

[+] Add program to customize

Add by program name

Enter program name: dude.exe

Force randomization for images (Mandatory ASLR)
Force relocation of inages not compiled with /DYNAMIC BASE
[X] Override system settings
(<--) Off
[ ] Do not allow stripped images

Apply.
